Feldenkrais Head / Neck
There is an enormous amount of stress held in this area that Feldenkrais can help with. This is particularly so in this age of computers. With the Exercises in this category we will free up the holding patterns that exist here. You will find that you also have a series of quick movement strategies you can use during the day to keep yourself fresh and alert. Rather than try a standard neck stretch try this approach which can help you reorganize your body for life. Being free and mobile here is a main component of hand / eye coordination. Balance can be greatly enhanced also, as we free up this area. Tightness and rigidity around the head / neck / shoulder area can be a major impediment to balance and hand / eye coordination. You may be surprised at just how much these types of exercises can contribute to this most essential part of the body. As you free up and develop your awareness here you may notice your posture improving remarkably - actually to the point of being 'remarked on'. There is an air and bearing of presence with a person who easily holds themselves erect with poise. It doesn't happen without being well organized in this head / neck region.
