This approach is different to most. This is a typical way of using these Exercises to enable you to be able to reach further as a consequence. Many people can stretch their hamstrings further, but at the end of the day they still have an underlying physical tension within the muscles. This is where a lot of injuries and awkward movement stem from. With this approach we are aiming to avoid this. Extend your range as you develop a nice quality of easy, fluid, graceful movement.
